The Antiracism Library

Updated: Feb 17, 2021

Like many of you, I have been on a cycle of awareness, self-reflection, discomfort, and understanding over the last few weeks. I understand this is nothing in comparison to what the Black and Indigenous communities have endured for hundreds of years.

I’m sorry it took so long and such horrifying murders to finally realize and admit that I have been a “non-racist,” that I was adopted into and hid behind the guise of white privilege, and that I have been part of the problem. Now, I embark on a lifelong journey to be an antiracist. I promise to listen, (un)learn, grow, and act for as long as it takes for our society to achieve equity and dismantle racism.

But this is not about me. This is about BIPOC lives.

The purpose of this blog is to start a library of books, media articles, academic papers, podcasts, videos, TV shows, and movies that highlight antiracism and equity. This is a safe place to share what we are reading, listening, and watching to become antiracists. So please, pass along any suggestions.

I hope you join me because only together can we fight the good fight against racism.

With love,

Chris

PS. As of 2021, I've started adding some general social justice content to this list! Take that patriarchy, misogyny, ableism, and more!
