LITTLE CHRIS
1980s
Christina was born in Edmonton, Canada to a loving mum, dad, and two brothers. She dreamed of one day becoming a super hero.
TEEN CHRIS
1990s
After hanging up her cape and retiring from crime fighting, Christina decided the next big step was to be a professional soccer player.
PANDA CHRIS
2007-2010
Okay, so Christina didn't come close to making it to the pros but she did play for the University of Alberta Pandas Soccer team and graduated with a BSc in Kinesiology in 2008.
PHYSIO CHRIS
2011-PRESENT
Christina put her sport injury experiences to use and pursued her (third) dream job of being a physiotherapist. In 2011, she collected her MSc in Physical Therapy and has been working ever since.
ACL
CHRIS
2017
After years of primarily treating individuals with ACL injuries, Christina ruptured her own ACL playing soccer - the irony! She rehabbed without surgery and is back to lifting, hockey, and snowboarding!
PHD
CHRIS
2017-PRESENT
Treating patients with knee or ACL injuries and going through her own ACL journey inspired Christina to start her PhD. She wants to understand how health-related quality of life changes after a knee injury.
